In 22 Jump Street, the 2014 sequel directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, Channing Tatum plays Jenko, the dim, good-natured cop who goes undercover at MC State and falls for the easy gravity of campus football, bonding with the quarterback Zook while his partner Schmidt drifts toward the art crowd. The film's biggest set piece is the spring-break beach blowout, the source of its sun's-out-guns-out tank top and the rowdy two-shot still used as promotional art.
The watch hung on Jenko is a TW Steel CEO Diver. TW Steel is a Dutch company founded in 2005 whose whole identity is the oversized case, the CEO Diver a large steel diver with a rotating bezel in the 44-to-48mm range, big enough to look proportionate on Tatum's wrist rather than swallowed by it. The trouble is the film never quite shows it. No scene holds on Jenko's wrist long enough to confirm the watch, so the CEO Diver stays a plausible read waiting on a frame, rather than something the picture has actually settled.
