Will Gorski is the Chicago cop in Sense8, one of eight strangers scattered across the planet who suddenly share each other's senses and skills. Brian J. Smith plays him as the one the others reach for when a situation turns physical: a man haunted by a girl's unsolved murder from his own childhood, whose police training in shooting and driving gets borrowed by seven people he has never met. When the cluster needs a gun handled or a car run through a checkpoint in Nairobi or Seoul, his hands do the work from Chicago.
Watch-spotters have put a TAG Heuer Link chronograph on his wrist, the steel sports chrono with the S-shaped bracelet links that the brand built into the line when it renamed the older S/el series Link in 1999. The chronograph versions, references in the CT2113 and CT5113 family, are 42mm automatics on the Valjoux 7750, water-resistant to 200 meters, with three sub-dials and a date. It reads as aspirational for a working cop, a couple thousand dollars of Swiss sports chronograph on a man who carries a badge, though not an impossible reach.
A chronograph is built for one job: pin down a stretch of time in a single spot, start it and stop it and read the result off the dial. Gorski's condition refuses exactly that. As a sensate he is awake in Chicago while borrowing a body in Seoul and another in Nairobi, present in cities hours apart at the same instant, and no dial on his arm can say what hour it is for the people sharing his head. The most time-obsessed watch a cop could buy rides the wrist of a man who is never in one place to be timed.
