Brad Pitt wears a Breitling Chronomat

Brad Pitt's half of Wolfs answers to a voice. His fixer, billed in the closing credits only as Pam's Man, takes his orders from an unseen client voiced by Frances McDormand, and he walks into a Manhattan hotel room to find George Clooney's rival fixer already standing over the same problem. Amy Ryan plays Margaret, the district attorney whose hotel-room disaster starts the night, and Austin Abrams is the Kid at the center of it. Jon Watts wrote and directed the film, his first after three Marvel Spider-Man pictures, and while the credits keep both fixers nameless, Apple's own production materials call them Jack and Nick, the names the crew used on set.

Pitt wears a Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40, reference A32398101B1A1: steel case, black dial, a red 24 hour hand for a second time zone, a date window at 6 o'clock, on a polished rouleaux bracelet of thin cylinder-shaped links. The timing of the choice is precise. Breitling introduced the model in late 2022, right around when the costume and prop decisions were being made for the film's January 2023 production start, and Pitt was then a Breitling ambassador; the watch listed for about sixty-four hundred dollars and shows itself from under his leather coat cuff.

The Chronomat name has been in the catalog since 1942, when Breitling released it as a chronograph with a circular slide rule inspired by military watches, and the company itself dates to 1884, founded by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier. The GMT 40 skips the slide rule; its complications are the second time zone and the date. In the film it sits opposite Clooney's Omega Speedmaster Professional.
