Benicio del Toro wears an unidentified watch

Jack Jordan found God in prison and lost everything trying to keep him. Benicio del Toro plays the born-again ex-con in Alejandro González Iñárritu's 21 Grams (2003), a film told in fractured chronology where three strangers — del Toro, Sean Penn, and Naomi Watts — orbit a single car accident that rearranges all their lives. Written by Guillermo Arriaga, the screenplay cuts between before and after so aggressively that the audience has to assemble cause and effect on their own. Jordan is the driver. The guilt buries him.
