Over dinner at Musso & Frank Grill in 1969 Los Angeles, Al Pacino's old-school Hollywood agent lays out the case for spaghetti westerns to Leonardo DiCaprio's fading TV star in Quentin Tarantino's 2019 Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood. Schwarz is the kind of agent who wears a navy suit with a red pocket square to a steak dinner and means every thread of it. Tarantino originally wrote 21 pages for this scene before cutting it down, but what survived is still one of the film's best conversations, two men on opposite sides of a career cliff, one selling and one trying not to buy.
