Severance splits its people in two. Employees at Lumon Industries undergo a procedure that divides the self who works from the self who lives, an innie who exists only inside the office and an outie who never remembers a minute of the job. Adam Scott plays both halves of Mark Scout, and the show gives each half its own watch. Inside Lumon, on the innie's wrist, is a Bijouone B001.
The B001 is about as plain as a watch gets: a white dial with baton markers and a slim case on a black strap. Bijouone is a small minimalist brand, and this is an off-the-rack model that needed no changes to fit the show. That anonymity is the point. Mark's innie remembers nothing and owns nothing, so the show gives him a watch with no history and nothing to say.
The choice only sharpens against the watch his outie wears at home. Mark's innie watch is a blank modern minimalist piece; his outie's is a Soviet military relic thick with history. Lumon built the innie to be a worker with no past, and a plain little Bijouone is exactly the watch such a person would be handed.
