Zac Efron wears a TAG Heuer Aquaracer

Charlie St. Cloud (2010) is a supernatural romance carried by Zac Efron. He plays Charlie, a gifted young sailor whose little brother Sam dies in a car crash that Charlie survives. Wrecked by guilt, he gives up a sailing scholarship, takes a job tending the cemetery where Sam is buried, and meets the boy's ghost at dusk each evening to keep a promise. Burr Steers directed it. Amanda Crew plays Tess, the sailor who pulls him back toward the living, with Kim Basinger and Ray Liotta in support.

The French magazine Montres-de-luxe identified the watch as a TAG Heuer Aquaracer Calibre S Regatta with a blue dial and a blue rubber strap. That is a sailor's watch. The Calibre S is TAG Heuer's electro-mechanical movement that runs both the hands and a digital display, and the Regatta version adds a countdown timer for the minutes before a yacht race starts, the window when crews jockey for the line.

In the still here, Charlie sits on the cemetery's green mower among the rose beds, and the watch reads exactly as the magazine described it: a steel case, a deep blue dial and bezel, the busy Calibre S layout, on blue rubber. The frame matches down to the color of the strap, even if the dial text does not resolve.
