Will Poulter wears a Casio G-Shock

Warfare is a real-time war film Alex Garland made with Ray Mendoza, a former Navy SEAL recreating a 2006 mission he lived through in Ramadi, Iraq. It plays as one unbroken engagement, with no flashbacks and no score, assembled from the memories of the men who were there. Will Poulter plays Erik, the platoon's officer in charge.

On Erik's wrist is a Casio G-Shock, the kind of watch Navy SEALs have carried into combat for years. They are cheap and nearly indestructible, and they draw no attention in a place where an expensive watch can mark the man wearing it. G-Shocks turn up across the platoon in the film, including the squared-off DW-5600 worn by another of the men.
