Ving Rhames was everywhere in the late 1990s. After Marsellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction and Luther Stickell in Mission: Impossible, he landed Buddy Bragg in Steven Soderbergh's 1998 Out of Sight, another Elmore Leonard adaptation in a decade full of them. George Clooney plays Jack Foley, a bank robber who escapes from prison and kidnaps a federal marshal played by Jennifer Lopez, then falls for her.
