Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry (1974) is ninety-three minutes of Dodge Charger and open California highway, the kind of early-1970s film that treats a muscle car and an empty road as freedom itself. Peter Fonda is Larry, a stalled racer who robs a supermarket to bankroll a season; Susan George is Mary, the one-night stand who refuses to get out of the car; Adam Roarke is Deke, the mechanic in the back seat. John Hough directed.

Vic Morrow plays Captain Everett Franklin, the lawman running the pursuit from a Bell JetRanger helicopter with an intensity the crime never quite earns. On his wrist is a Rolex GMT-Master, the red-and-blue Pepsi, reference 1675; BAMF Style notes it was likely Morrow's own. Rolex made the GMT-Master in 1954 with Pan American so pilots could read two time zones, and by 1974 the 1675, with crown guards and a date, was the version everyone knew.
