Val Kilmer plays Simon Templar in Phillip Noyce's The Saint, a loose adaptation of Leslie Charteris's gentleman-thief character. Templar is a master of disguise who takes on the identities of Catholic saints for each job, and his latest assignment involves stealing the formula for cold fusion from a physicist played by Elisabeth Shue. Rade Serbedzija plays the Russian oligarch pulling the strings.

The Bulgari Diagono fits Templar's lifestyle. He's a thief who lives in luxury hotels, speaks multiple languages, and changes identities the way most people change shirts. The Diagono is Italian, conspicuously designed, and expensive without being ostentatious in the way a gold Rolex would be. Bulgari made their name in Rome selling jewelry to movie stars and European aristocrats, and the Diagono carries that DNA even in its sportier configurations. For a character who needs to be convincing in a tuxedo at a Moscow gala one night and disappear into a crowd the next morning, it's a watch that signals taste and money without screaming either one. Templar would own several watches for different covers, and the Diagono is the one he keeps for himself.
