Just Getting Started (2017) was Ron Shelton's first film as a director since Hollywood Homicide in 2003, and it landed with a thud: panned by critics, it grossed about $7.6 million against a $22 million budget. The setup pairs Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones at Villa Capri, a Palm Springs retirement resort, as two old men who cannot stand each other. Freeman's Duke runs the place and rules it socially. Jones plays Leo McKay, a former FBI agent who shows up and starts beating Duke at everything he is known for, women included.

The feud only breaks when a mafia hit man arrives. Duke, it turns out, is a former mob lawyer living under a new name, and the two have to team up to survive. The cast around them is deeper than the film deserved, with Rene Russo, Joe Pantoliano, and Glenne Headly in her final film; Headly died in June 2017, seven months before it reached theaters.

In the film Jones wears a steel watch on a steel bracelet, visible on the wrist holding his flip phone in the scene where he and Freeman talk outdoors. The brand has not been identified.
