The trailer for Digger, Alejandro G. Iñárritu's satire that opened on October 2, 2026, starts in a bedroom. Digger Rockwell, the oil tycoon the film bills as the most powerful man in the world, lies propped up under a green velvet headboard in brown patterned pajamas, trying to hand-feed a scrap of raw fish to a white longhair cat in roughly the same shape he is. The hand holding the fish is his left, and on that wrist is a pink gold Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time with a green dial.
The reference is 7920V/210R-B965. The case is 41 mm across and 12 mm thick in 18K 5N pink gold, as is the integrated bracelet, and the dial is Vacheron's "intense green," translucent lacquer over a sunburst base with a velvet-finished flange. Inside is caliber 5110 DT/2: self-winding, 234 parts, 37 jewels, 60 hours of reserve, stamped with the Hallmark of Geneva. The two hour hands adjust independently in one-hour steps, the second one tipped with a red arrow, and the pusher at 4 o'clock corrects the date. A day-night window sits at 9, the date at 6. The watch is rated to 150 m, carries a soft iron ring against magnetism, and ships with a green calfskin strap and a green rubber one on Vacheron's tool-free quick-change system. Vacheron added the pink gold and green pairing to the Overseas line at Watches and Wonders 2024. The US list price is $88,000 before tax.
Costume designer Jacqueline West put Rockwell in western suits and bolo ties over Tom Cruise's ageing prosthetics and grey comb-over. The watch itself is stock, a current production reference. A July 2026 Luxury Tribune feature on the placement ran in partnership with Vacheron Constantin, and Cruise owns an Overseas himself, a white gold Perpetual Calendar he has worn on press tours.
The Overseas is Vacheron's travel watch, with travel in the name and a second time zone on the dial, built to be worn across oceans. In a film about a man racing a catastrophe of his own making, its first seconds on screen are spent in bed, cradling a sick cat.
The design descends from the 222, the steel sports watch Vacheron made in 1977 for its 222nd anniversary. The Overseas replaced it in 1996 and was redesigned in 2016, when the whole collection took on the Hallmark of Geneva.
