Tom Cruise wears an Omega Speedmaster

The watch that did not actually exist. Cruise physically wore an Omega Speedmaster X-33 during filming of Steven Spielberg's Minority Report (2002), but the production had ILM digitally replace the Omega branding on the dial with "Bvlgari" in post, as part of the film's product-placement integration alongside Lexus, American Express, and Nokia. Hodinkee covers the prop in detail, noting that the CGI swap was inconsistent: some shots show the unaltered Omega X-33 dial, others show the Bulgari overlay. The Bulgari-branded X-33 has never existed in any real catalog.

The irony is that the X-33, nicknamed the "Mars Watch" and adopted by NASA for space shuttle missions, already had more futuristic credibility than any fictional rebrand could provide. Spielberg set the film in 2054, and the X-33's analog-digital hybrid display looked more plausible as future tech than most of the props designed from scratch. Omega launched the original X-33 in 1998 in collaboration with NASA, ESA, and active military pilots, with five mission timers, a thermal-compensated quartz movement, and a titanium case rated for space-shuttle conditions.

The X-33 sits at the intersection of action and science fiction. A NASA-rated chronograph on a cop who arrests people for crimes they have not committed yet. Anderton lives by the second. The Speedmaster X-33 is the only watch in Spielberg's catalog that does the same thing.
