Thomas Haden Church wears a Casio

Max came out in 2015, a family film about a Marine's dog. The Belgian Malinois of the title comes home from Afghanistan after his handler is killed, traumatized, and ends up with the handler's family in small-town Texas. Thomas Haden Church plays the father, Ray Wincott, a former Marine himself, grieving his older son and short with the younger one, Justin, who slowly takes the dog on. Boaz Yakin directed it earnestly, the way movies about boys and dogs tend to go.
