Anton Corbijn's The American (2010) is an assassin movie with almost no action in it, a slow, austere thriller shot in the stone hill towns of Abruzzo. George Clooney plays Jack, an aging gunsmith and killer hiding out in Italy and hand-building a custom suppressed rifle to a client's exact specification. Thekla Reuten plays Mathilde, the woman who commissions that weapon, and who turns out to have been sent to use it on him.
A Casio has been attributed to Mathilde, and at the brand level that is as far as it can honestly go. No frame gives a clean enough look at the dial to pin down a model. In a film this deliberately stripped of glamour, where even the hero's gear is purely functional, a plain quartz Casio on the most dangerous person in the story fits the world Corbijn built. It simply cannot be named beyond the brand.
