Andy Stitzer is the title character of The 40-Year-Old Virgin: forty years old, a virgin, living alone in an apartment full of mint-condition action figures still in their packaging, riding a bike to his job at the SmartTech electronics store. Steve Carell plays him and co-wrote the screenplay with Judd Apatow, who directed. The plot kicks off at a poker night where his coworkers David, Cal, and Jay (Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Romany Malco) catch him bluffing about sex and spend the rest of the film trying to fix it.

On Andy's wrist is a Casio G-Shock DW-5600E, the plain square black resin digital that has been the baseline G-Shock since the 1990s, shock-resistant and water-resistant to two hundred meters. It stays on through the action-figure painting, the bike commutes, and the SmartTech floor, and his coworkers' eventual makeover leaves it alone.
