By Fallout, the sixth Mission: Impossible, Benji Dunn is a full field agent, and Christopher McQuarrie's 2018 film sends him into the mountains of Kashmir to defuse a nuclear bomb while a helicopter duel plays out overhead. The watch on his wrist suits the terrain. It is a Suunto Traverse Alpha, a GPS outdoor watch from the part of the Suunto line built for hunters.

The Alpha logs a breadcrumb trail so you can retrace a route through country with no roads, carries a moon-phase calendar for timing game, and uses its accelerometer to detect the recoil of a fired shot and mark the spot on the map. Its backlight glows red so the screen will not ruin your night vision. None of that matters to the plot. It fits the setting, though: a tool built for wild country, worn into the mountains where the film leaves Benji.
