Simon Pegg wears an Omega Speedmaster

Sidney Young unwraps an Omega Speedmaster Professional as a gift in Robert Weide's How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008), and the film names it out loud: in voice-over, Sidney notes that "that's an Omega Speedmaster Pro I'm wearing." The watch is the standard hand-wound Moonwatch, reference 3570.50.00 on a steel bracelet, the model NASA qualified for spaceflight and that Buzz Aldrin wore on the lunar surface in 1969.

Weide adapted Toby Young's memoir about a British journalist who moves to New York and alienates everyone at a Vanity Fair-style magazine, with Simon Pegg playing him. The Speedmaster is one of the few genuinely serious things Sidney owns.
