Sid James wears a Breitling Top Time

Carry On Girls was the twenty-fifth of the thirty-one Carry On films, the British comedy series that ran from 1958 to 1992 under one director, Gerald Thomas, and, for most of its run, one writer, Talbot Rothwell. The films traded in double entendres and seaside-postcard humor, played by the same small troupe of character actors in slight variations on themselves, with Sid James and his dirty laugh usually at the center.

James plays Councillor Sidney Fiddler, who runs a beauty contest to put his run-down seaside town of Fircombe on the map. On his wrist is a Breitling Top Time, the compact two-register chronograph Breitling introduced in 1964 as a younger, sportier alternative to its Navitimer. His has the "panda" dial, white with two contrasting black sub-dials. Breitling stopped making the Top Time in the 1970s, not long after the film.
