Samuel L. Jackson wears a Philip Stein Teslar

Samuel L. Jackson likes watches, and for a stretch in the 2000s he liked a strange one. Philip Stein sold timepieces with a small metal disk in the case that the company said tuned itself to the Earth's natural frequencies, somewhere between a fraction of a hertz and thirty-two of them, and promised the wearer less stress and better sleep. The watch press rolled its eyes. The celebrities did not. Jackson was among the ones who wore and praised the thing.

So when he turns up as Agent Gibbons in xXx: State of the Union (2005), the NSA spymaster who swaps Vin Diesel out for Ice Cube and sends him to stop a coup, the reasonable guess about the watch on his wrist is that it is one of his own Philip Steins. The brand is right for the man. The trouble is the screen. In the shots we have, Gibbons is in a dark suit with a gun in his hands and his cuff in shadow, and the watch never reads. Even the one site that ventures an identification can't settle on what it is, and lands on a different brand entirely.

So the call rests on the actor, not the image. He wore the brand in real life, and he is probably wearing it here. A good guess, and an honest one, and still only a guess.
