Ryan Gosling wears a TAG Heuer Carrera

Sierra Six levels a pistol from behind cover, a cut over one eye, a silver-dialed TAG Heuer Carrera on his raised wrist. Ryan Gosling plays Six in The Gray Man (2022), a CIA asset who uncovers corruption inside the agency and goes on the run while Chris Evans's sociopathic operative is sent to kill him. The Russo Brothers directed the Netflix film, a reported $200 million production written by Joe Russo with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the team behind their Avengers pictures.

The watch is the TAG Heuer Carrera Three Hands, reference WBN2111.FC6505: a 39mm steel three-hander with a silver sunray dial and a Calibre 5 automatic movement, worn on a black alligator strap here and on a steel H-link bracelet elsewhere in the film. Jack Heuer designed the first Carrera in 1963 as a motorsport chronograph, and this version pares it back to a date and clean applied markers. Gosling, TAG Heuer's ambassador since October 2021, picked it himself. A character who runs through nine action set pieces and shifts identities, he told The Hollywood Reporter, needed something that "you can wear with anything" while "the watch stays the same."

That partnership was Gosling's first with a watch brand, and a TAG Heuer Carrera has stayed with him in films since, including the Glassbox chronograph he wears in The Fall Guy.
