Ryan Gosling wears a Heuer Carrera

Ken comes back from the real world with a new theory of how to live and three vintage gold Heuer Carreras to prove it. Ryan Gosling wears them across both wrists in Greta Gerwig's Barbie (2023): the 1158 CHN and the 2448 NT stacked on his right wrist, the 1158 on top, and the barrel-cased 110.515 on his left. Gosling is a TAG Heuer ambassador off screen, and Ken's sudden need to own watches, plural, is part of the gag. The tagline had it first: "She's everything. He's just Ken."

Jack Heuer named the Carrera in 1963 after the Carrera Panamericana, a Mexican road race so dangerous it was shut down in 1954 after five runnings, and it became the signature chronograph of Heuer and, later, TAG Heuer. Ken's three span the line's early years: the 1158 CHN from 1971 on a solid 18-karat gold bracelet, the tonneau-cased 110.515 from 1974, and the 2448 NT on a leather strap with a black dial.
