Partway through Captain America: Civil War (2016), the bracelet on Tony Stark's wrist unfurls into a single Iron Man gauntlet, enough to fight the Winter Soldier without calling down a full suit. That gadget is a prop smartwatch, and for most of the film, in what one watch writer called "business mode," it is all Stark has on. The closest thing to a real-world ID is a shopping blog that calls the prop a Tokyoflash "Pimp," a $139 LED watch.

The actual watch turns up late, when Stark is off the clock, and it is barely on screen. The watch journalist who reviewed the film couldn't make out its dial; he could only tell it apart from the gadget by the case and strap. The crowdsourced guesses don't agree, either. A product-spotting site lists it as an Omega Seamaster, while watch-forum regulars swore they caught a Speedmaster and figured it was Downey's own. Neither is a documented screen prop, so the one traditional watch Tony Stark wears in Civil War is left unidentified.
