Robert De Niro wears a Rolex Oyster

Robert De Niro plays him as a no-nonsense LAPD detective who accidentally discharges his weapon at a news crew and gets punished by being forced to co-star in a reality TV cop show with Eddie Murphy's attention-hungry patrol officer. De Niro's deadpan resistance to Murphy's mugging is the film's engine, and it runs out of gas well before the credits.
