Ritu Arya wears a SK

By the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy, Lila Pitts has a husband, a houseful of kids, and a cheap watch she wears through the opening episodes. Ritu Arya plays her: born the same day as the Hargreeves siblings, married to Diego, the outsider who never asked to be one of them. In the episode "The Cleanse," she gets hold of a map of a subway that runs between timelines. She boards it with Number Five, the Hargreeves she can least stand, and the two of them get lost. They come back having been gone more than seven years. Back home, a few hours have passed.

The watch is an SK, short for Shengke, a Chinese fashion label that sells through AliExpress and Amazon for twenty or thirty dollars. Its dial is cut into wedges, one matte black and the rest a brushed silver that fans out from the center, with thin baton hands and no numbers, the name SK set over SHENGKE in small letters at six o'clock. The strap is two-tone to match, silver leather above the case and black below. It is not a maker anyone collects, which on a character spending the season improvising her way home is the point.

In January 2025, Propstore sold the watch as a single lot with two other things from the same stretch of the season: the subway map, lettered in an invented alphabet, and a bracelet twisted out of copper wire that Five gives Lila while the two are stranded. That bracelet is the one Diego later finds, the tell that gives away what happened down there. The lot carried a certificate of authenticity and a line of description noting that Lila wore the watch through the first few episodes. It did not name the brand, which had to be read off the dial.

A watch keeps time, the one quantity that comes apart in this part of the show. More than seven years run for Lila and Five inside the subway while a couple of hours run for the family waiting on them. The cheap quartz movement keeps good time the whole way, on the one wrist where the count stops matching anyone else's.
