Max Ophuls directed The Exile, which is not the kind of film you expect from the man who made Letter from an Unknown Woman and The Earrings of Madame de... It is a swashbuckler, written by and starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. as Charles II hiding in the Dutch countryside from Cromwell's forces. Ophuls brings a European sensibility to the action sequences, and the film looks better than most adventure pictures of its era.

Katie, played by Rita Corday, wears an Omega on her wrist in a film set in the 1650s, which makes it an anachronism by about two centuries. But period films of the 1940s were not particularly concerned with wristwatch accuracy, and the Omega reads as part of the studio costume rather than a deliberate character choice. What it does tell you is that Omega was already a standard prop department watch in Hollywood by 1947, well before the moon landing gave the brand its later prestige.
