The film's key art for Go! lines its cast against a wall of stacked racing tires at a dusty Western Australian track, the sky behind them gone orange. Richard Roxburgh stands at the far left in a black three-striped track jacket, half a step back from the younger leads, his hands down and mostly out of frame. He plays Patrick, whom Common Sense Media describes as a grizzled go-kart veteran with an unhappy past, the mentor a reckless teenager turns out to need.
Go! is Owen Trevor's first feature, a teen sports drama that reworks The Karate Kid. Jack Hooper, played by William Lodder, moves to a small town with his widowed mother after his father dies of cancer. He finds a kart at a friend's birthday party and sets out to win the Australian National Go Karts Championship. Jack trains under Patrick and sets his sights on the ruthless champion Dean, whose father owns a race team. The mechanic Mandy and his mate Colin round out his crew. The film premiered at CinefestOZ in 2019 and reached Australian cinemas on 16 January 2020, then went to Netflix in March, outside Australia and New Zealand, under the blunter title Go Karts. It was shot where it is set, on real Western Australian circuits including Cockburn International Kartway and the Bunbury City Kart Club.
Which leaves the watch, and there the trail stops. No source identifies what Patrick wears, and the only image on file is this poster, where Roxburgh's right hand is hidden behind the tires and his left rests bare on the rubber, the jacket cuff sitting at the wrist. The story runs on a mentor and his pupil, and the mentor's wrist is the one detail this image leaves blank. The watch stays unidentified.
