Dial M for Murder (1954) is Alfred Hitchcock's drawing-room thriller in which retired tennis pro Tony Wendice (Ray Milland) plots the murder of his wealthy wife. At a party, building his alibi, he glances at his wristwatch to track the timing of the crime he has arranged. The watch is clear in close-up, a round watch with a pale dial and Arabic numerals on a dark strap, no maker legible, so it is recorded as an unidentified watch with the frame kept as evidence.
