Pierce Brosnan wears an Omega Seamaster

Near the end of GoldenEye (1995), trapped in Alec Trevelyan's armoured train with a timer running and no way out, Bond pulls up the carpet, takes off his watch, and cuts through the floor with the laser hidden in it, then drops himself and Natalya through before the train blows. The watch is an Omega Seamaster Professional 300M Quartz, reference 2541.80.00: a 41mm steel diver with a blue wave dial and bezel, caliber 1538 quartz, and 300 metres of water resistance.

GoldenEye was Pierce Brosnan's first Bond film and the start of Bond's long Omega era. Costume designer Lindy Hemming has said there was no product-placement deal in 1995; Omega simply supplied the watches, and she chose the Seamaster because she had reconceived Brosnan's Bond in Brioni tailoring as a more modern, European figure and associated Omega with the prepared, unshowy naval men she remembered from her father's circle.

Trevelyan later recognises the watch in the Cuban control room and uses his own newer Seamaster to disarm Bond's detonators, the gadget that saved Bond in the train turning against him.
