In a decommissioned Kazakh nuclear silo, Bond is at the bottom of a blast pit looking up. The way out is straight up. The way to do it is to point his wrist at the rim of the pit and press the crown of his Omega Seamaster.
A metal piton fires from beneath the crown. It embeds in the concrete. The fifty-foot microfilament cord trailing behind it winds back into the case and lifts Bond out.
The film is Michael Apted's The World Is Not Enough (1999). Pierce Brosnan plays Bond. The watch is an Omega Seamaster Professional 300M, reference 2531.80.00, modified by Q's lab with the grappling hook (rated for 800 pounds), a strong light, and a cord that retracts under power.
The base watch is a stainless-steel diver's chronometer: blue wave dial, twelve-sided unidirectional bezel, 300 meters of water resistance, Omega caliber 1120 self-winding movement with a 44-hour reserve. The grappling-hook modification is Q's invention. The rest of the watch is what you can buy.
