Q hands Bond a Seamaster. "Your twentieth," he says. "How time flies." "Yes, well, 007, why don't you establish a record by actually returning this one?"
The film is Lee Tamahori's Die Another Day (2002), and Pierce Brosnan is wearing his fourth Bond Seamaster. The reference is the 2531.80.00, an Omega Seamaster Professional 300M. The Brosnan era began with a quartz Seamaster in 1995, ref 2541.80.00. The automatic 2531.80.00 took over in 1997 and stayed on his wrist for the rest of his Bond films.
Stainless steel case on stainless steel bracelet. Blue dial decorated with a wave motif. A twelve-sided unidirectional rotating bezel with a polished ring. Water resistance to 300 meters. The movement is the Omega caliber 1120, a self-winding chronometer, 44-hour power reserve. The retail price when it first hit the shelves was around a thousand dollars.
