Every member of Team Zissou wears the same kit in Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004): a red beanie, a powder-blue uniform, matching sneakers, and the same watch. Pawel Wdowczak plays Renzo Pietro, the crew's editor, one of the team packed into the Belafonte's submarine in the finale. The watch is the Vostok Amphibia, which Oracle of Time described as the cheap, under-a-hundred-pounds Russian diver, noting that several of the crew wear one. The Amphibia has been in production since 1967, built around a self-winding movement and a thick acrylic crystal designed to be pushed harder into its seal as the water pressure rises. Steve Zissou's own version, in the squared 420 case, is the one collectors now call the Zissou. The only crewman who breaks ranks is Owen Wilson's Ned Plimpton, the late-arriving outsider with money, who wears a Rolex GMT-Master. Renzo keeps to the uniform, Amphibia and all.
