Paul Freeman wears an unidentified watch

Belloq is Indiana Jones without the conscience. Paul Freeman plays him in Steven Spielberg's Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) as a French archaeologist who does Indy's work and feels none of Indy's scruples about who he does it for. He says as much in the Cairo bar, sitting down across from a grieving Jones: "I am but a shadowy reflection of you."

In the opening sequence, taking the golden idol in the Peruvian jungle, Belloq has a wristwatch on his left wrist, but the dial never comes clear on screen and no watch publication has identified it. The only watch collectors tie to the character is something else: an Ingersoll pocket watch said to be screen-used, traded on a prop forum without a model name or a scene behind it. Whether that pocket watch and the wristwatch in the jungle are the same prop is not a question the film answers, and the watch on Belloq's wrist stays unidentified.
