Oded Fehr wears a MTM Black Hawk

Super Hybrid (2011) is a small horror film with a big silly premise: a shape-shifting alien creature that disguises itself as cars, towed into a Chicago police impound garage after a wreck, where it spends the night killing the crew one at a time. Eric Valette directed it. Oded Fehr plays Ray, the man running the graveyard shift, and on his wrist is an MTM Black Hawk.

The Black Hawk is the watch that put MTM on the map. It was the company's first design built around a light rather than just a glowing dial: a triad of LEDs at twelve, four, and eight o'clock, run off a rechargeable battery and switched by a button at two, throwing either a blue glow or a bright orange one. The battery tops up by sitting the watch on an induction pad, no cable needed. The case is forty-four millimeters of steel or titanium, water resistant to a hundred meters, and these days the same watch goes by a different name, the Black Falcon. None of which helps Ray. The thing in the garage does not care what time it is.
