Nicolas Cage wears a Victorinox Swiss Army

John Koestler doesn't believe in patterns until a sheet of paper forces him to. Nicolas Cage plays the MIT astrophysics professor in Alex Proyas's Knowing (2009), a disaster film that starts as a mystery and ends as something closer to religious sci-fi. When his son Caleb's school opens a 50-year-old time capsule, one of the documents turns out to be a page of numbers predicting every major disaster since 1959, with three still to come.

The watch on Koestler's wrist is a Victorinox Swiss Army with a stainless steel bracelet and an automatic movement, a plain steel watch that reads on screen as ordinary daily wear. The Prop Gallery, which sold the screen-used piece from the production's wardrobe, describes it in the same terms and notes some wear to the bracelet from filming.
