Nicolas Cage wears a Rolex Submariner

Nicolas Cage returns as Ben Gates, treasure hunter and historian, in the 2007 sequel National Treasure: Book of Secrets. On his wrist is a Rolex Submariner Date, reference 16610, the steel diver with a gloss black dial, an aluminum bezel, and white-gold surrounds on the markers that Rolex built from 1989 until 2010.

It is the same Submariner Gates wore in the first National Treasure three years earlier. Wrist Enthusiast, in a feature on Cage's own watches, identifies the film piece as the aluminum-bezel 16610 and notes that Cage has been photographed wearing the same reference off screen. Hodinkee, writing about the franchise, arrives at the same reference from the gloss dial and aluminum bezel alone.
