Morris Chestnut wears a Longines Column Wheel Chronograph

The Perfect Guy (2015) is a stalker thriller. Sanaa Lathan plays Leah Vaughn, a lobbyist who breaks up with her steady boyfriend Dave, played by Morris Chestnut, when he stalls on marriage and children. She falls for Carter Duncan, played by Michael Ealy, who seems perfect and turns out to be a violent stalker. David M. Rosenthal directed it, and it made about sixty million dollars on a twelve million dollar budget.

Dave wears a Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph, identified by the French site Montres-de-luxe, which notes a detail from the film: the watch is a gift from Leah. Longines introduced this chronograph in 2009, built around a self-winding movement with a column wheel, the older and more intricate way of controlling a chronograph. The line was pitched as a more affordable way into that mechanism. On screen the watch stays in the background, and Montres-de-luxe could name only the model, not a reference.
