In Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Mike Myers plays Dr. Evil as a Bond villain who treats supervillainy as a business, complete with a number two, a payroll of henchmen, a volcano lair, and a cloned Mini-Me. The 1999 sequel sends him back to 1969 to steal Austin Powers' mojo and to hold the world ransom from a laser on the moon. The watch belongs to the company more than to the man.

It is a Timex in stainless steel on a leather strap, with the Dr. Evil logo in the center of the dial. Propstore, which auctioned it in 2022, is specific about whose wrist it was for: these Dr. Evil watches were issued to his employees and henchmen, branded kit for the staff of a fictional evil corporation. He put his logo on the people who worked for him.

The prop itself is genuine and documented. It went through Propstore's London auction as lot 686 in November 2022, estimated at 1,500 to 2,500 pounds, sold with a certificate of authenticity and packed in with Dr. Evil notepads, the crew's window cards, and the briefcase Verne Troyer's Mini-Me carried aboard the spaceship. What you will not find is the watch on the boss. In the lair, at a buffet table in his gray Nehru tunic, Dr. Evil keeps his sleeves down to his hands, and no watch shows on either wrist. He branded the merch and kept it off his own arm.
