Michael Douglas wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso

Oliver Stone's Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) brings Gordon Gekko out of federal prison and back toward the action, older and rebuilding. Michael Douglas plays him with the old confidence intact and the bankroll not yet caught up to it.

The watch most associated with Gekko in this film is an IWC, the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar in rose gold, since IWC backed the production and put several of its watches on screen. But Douglas also wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, and that is the one Jaeger-LeCoultre claimed. Writing from Cannes when the first images appeared, Worldtempus noted that "the film-making adventures of the legendary Reverso continue on the wrist of Michael Douglas." The Reverso is the rectangular Art Deco watch Jaeger-LeCoultre built in 1931 for polo players, its case mounted to flip face-down and protect the crystal during a match.

In the still here, Gekko sits in a blue linen shirt holding a small picture frame, and the watch is on his wrist on a brown leather strap, the steel case turned mostly to the underside so the dial does not show. The Reverso identification is the magazine's, drawn from a watch the film barely lets you see straight on.
