David Norris is a young New York congressman whose romance with a dancer, Elise (Emily Blunt), turns out to be off-script. In The Adjustment Bureau, George Nolfi's 2011 take on a Philip K. Dick story, fedora-wearing agents keep nudging Norris's life back onto the plan they were handed. Matt Damon plays him, often in a sharp blue suit, with a plain dark watch on his wrist.

The watch is the modest part of the outfit. The one identification on record comes from a watch blog, BestWatchBrandsHQ, which looked at the footage and figured it for a Coleman NightSight, a roughly twenty-dollar quartz with a 42mm black case, a black nylon strap, and a button that lights the dial for a few seconds. The aggregator Spotern lists the same thing, down to the catalogue number. No watch magazine has weighed in, the brand on a watch this cheap would never read on screen anyway, and in the clearest shot the case sits half under Norris's cuff. So the Coleman is a plausible guess, not a confirmed fact.
