Route Irish, released in 2011, is Ken Loach's film about British private military contractors and the war in Iraq. Mark Womack plays Fergus, a Liverpool ex-soldier turned contractor who refuses to believe the official story when his closest friend, Frankie, is killed on the Baghdad airport road that gives the film its name. On Fergus's wrist is a Breitling Colt with a blue dial.
The Colt is Breitling's plainer, tougher line, introduced in the 1980s and built for legibility and durability rather than show, which fits a man with a military past. Beyond that, there is not much to go on. The identification comes from a single French watch-news post, Montres de Luxe, which records only a "Breitling Colt avec cadran bleu," a Colt with a blue dial. The film never frames the watch clearly, and no other source confirms it, so the read is likely rather than certain.
