Shane Black wrote and directed Play Dirty, which puts it in the hands of the man who wrote Lethal Weapon at 23 and made Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys. The character Parker comes from Donald E. Westlake's Richard Stark novels, twenty-four books of professional crime starting with The Hunter in 1962. Mark Wahlberg plays him, with LaKeith Stanfield, Keegan-Michael Key, and Tony Shalhoub as the crew. Amazon MGM put the film on Prime Video.
The watch is logged as a Bell & Ross BR-03 Copper, though no source confirms it. The BR-03 is the brand's signature square watch, its case drawn from a cockpit instrument gauge; the Copper is the version with a galvanized salmon dial, not the bronze case the name might suggest. Westlake wrote Parker as a man unsentimental about his tools and exact about what works, and a legible square gauge of a watch suits him, whatever the reference turns out to be.
