The Prisoner (1967) is Patrick McGoohan's surreal spy series about a resigned agent, Number Six, held in the Village and worn down by an ever-changing Number Two. In the episode "It's Your Funeral," the assassin Number One Hundred (Mark Eden) uses his wristwatch as a covert radio, speaking into a Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox whose round silver dial and date window come briefly clear on screen. The Memovox is JLC's alarm watch, a fitting piece of spy hardware for a man whose watch is really a transmitter.
