Marine Vacth wears a Chanel Première

DNA (ADN) is Maïwenn's semi-autobiographical 2020 drama, which she wrote, directed, and stars in as Neige, a woman pulled back toward her Algerian roots after her grandfather dies. Marine Vacth plays Neige's sister Lilah; Fanny Ardant and Louis Garrel are also in the family, and Maïwenn wrote the script with Mathieu Demy, the son of Jacques Demy and Agnès Varda.

The watch on Lilah's wrist, identified by the French watch press as a Chanel Première, makes sense given that Marine Vacth is one of Chanel's ambassadors off screen. The Première was Chanel's first watch, created in 1987 by the house's artistic director, Jacques Helleu. Its octagonal case copies the stopper of the No. 5 perfume bottle, a shape Chanel took in turn from the Place Vendôme, and its bracelet threads leather through a gold chain in the manner of the quilted 2.55 handbag.
