Ludivine Sagnier wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso

Love Crime was Alain Corneau's last film, a French corporate thriller released in 2010, the year he died. Kristin Scott Thomas plays Christine, a Paris executive who passes her protégée's ideas off as her own. Ludivine Sagnier plays the protégée, Isabelle, who eventually stops letting her. Brian De Palma remade the story two years later as Passion.

The watch here is hard to pin down. A fan-spotting site lists a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso on Isabelle, but no watch publication has written the film up, and the claim arrives with no detail to check. In the still on file, the clearest watch on screen belongs to Christine, not Isabelle: a small rectangular gold case with a white dial on a black leather strap. That is the shape a Reverso takes, and also the shape of plenty of other rectangular dress watches, and the brand does not resolve at this distance. The Reverso is a reasonable, period-appropriate guess. It stays a guess.
