Sarah Connor is back, 28 years later, wearing a tactical watch that costs $150. Linda Hamilton returns in Tim Miller's Terminator: Dark Fate, and the Nixon Regulus Sand on her wrist during the Mexico highway battle is the kind of watch a woman living off the grid would actually buy. Not a luxury piece. Not a fashion statement. A $150 digital watch with a carbon-reinforced case that Nixon developed in consultation with U.S. Special Forces.
The Regulus is a 46mm square-cased digital with shock resistance, mission timer functions, and an aesthetic that looks like it was designed for people who sleep in their cars and carry shotguns. Nixon launched it as part of their military-adjacent product line, and it sells through surf shops and outdoor retailers. On Sarah Connor, who has spent 22 years hunting Terminators and apparently shopping at the same stores, it reads as functional equipment rather than character decoration.
The Nixon Regulus disappears after the first act, when Connor ditches it while fleeing the highway scene. It is a disposable watch on a character who treats everything as disposable, including her own safety.
