Liev Schreiber wears an Omega Seamaster

A Hollywood fixer is a strange animal - a man paid to make everyone else's catastrophes disappear, who somehow can never clean up his own. That is the engine of Ray Donovan, the Showtime series that ran from 2013 to 2020, with Liev Schreiber playing Ray as a wall of a man in dark suits, controlled to the point of menace, the kind of operator who never raises his voice because he has never had to.

So what does a man like that strap to his wrist? Not a Rolex shouting across the room. It is an Omega Seamaster Professional: stainless steel, a dark grey dial patterned with waves, a small date window, the diver's watch that reads as money without saying a word about it. When Propstore sold the screen-worn piece in its blue Omega case, it noted that of all the high-end watches Ray cycled through, the Seamaster was his signature. That makes sense to me: for a man who launders other people's secrets for a living, it is the right watch, chosen the way he chooses everything else, to do the job and disappear.
