Leonardo Sbaraglia wears a Rolex Datejust

Damián Szifrón's Wild Tales (2014) is six short films about people who snap, and it earned an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. Leonardo Sbaraglia plays Diego in "El más fuerte," the road-rage segment: a well-off businessman in a new Audi who flips off a slower driver on an empty highway, then cannot get away from the man he insulted. What starts as a passing insult turns into a fight to the death between two strangers.

On Diego's wrist is a Rolex Oyster Datejust, Rolex's classic date dress watch. Diego is the well-off driver, in the new car, and the man he tangles with is not; the segment is partly about that gap. The Datejust sits on the right side of it, though the cars carry most of the contrast, and the film never pauses to underline any of it.
