Leonardo DiCaprio wears a Breitling Avenger

"T.I.A.," Danny Archer says, more than once - This Is Africa. Archer is a white Rhodesian gunrunner, an Angola War veteran, and a diamond smuggler working for a South African colonel named Coetzee in the middle of the Sierra Leone Civil War. The film is Edward Zwick's Blood Diamond (2006). Leonardo DiCaprio plays Archer. The watch on his wrist is a Breitling Chrono Avenger.

Breitling launched the Avenger line in 2001 as the brand's rugged tool-watch family, separate from the dress-pilot Chronomat and the Aerospace electronics line. The Chrono Avenger reference E13360 ran from 2001 to 2007: a 44mm titanium case with a black dial, three chronograph subdials, a date window at three o'clock, white hands, a lollipop seconds hand, and a Valjoux 7750 COSC-certified automatic underneath. The strap on Archer's wrist is brown leather.

The diamond Archer is chasing is pink, roughly the size of a bird's egg, and buried somewhere in the rebel-controlled diamond fields by a Mende fisherman named Solomon Vandy. Archer needs it. T.I.A.
